    The well pump is busy today.  I can hear it off and on, so I move my mouth like a heart attack victim and sometimes it changes its tune and sometimes it goes away.

    Interesting the Artist also hears this noise and because she is creative her imagination goes deeper into the ground where it finds a labyrinth of "might be" which puts the ordinary to shame.

     Somewhere down there is a cave where old rocks grind against new rocks and one day an earthquake will swallow the land to our west giving us a lake and ducks to look at.  

    And there I was so worried about the well I could not see this wonderful alternative.  Unless of course I am being teased.
