A cold front over warm air
brings tornado warnings and good television. The Artist was awake
by three this morning and now has returned to her blankets. I
missed most of it, because I am more like a root vegetable than she is.
I should have known an excitement
stirred because around six o'clock I smelled chicken soup. Thought
it a dream until I heard thunder and reckoned upon a busyness
downstairs.

Super Doppler Radar it's called.
Down to street level it can reach and those poor devils between Ella and
Neatsville running for their shelters. Along River Road across the
woodlands toward Teddy and Bethelridge.
Damn if there aren't pretty names
in Kentucky, even when the weather is dangerous.
