    I have pigtailed ground wires to a series of six electrical outlets, and I say this so that in the event of my untimely electrocution those investigating will know I understand how the electric is not a part of life that can be left to trial and error, or wishfulness, or large quantities of beer. 

      Then the moment arrived when all was in place.  Briefly I thought about crossing my fingers, saying my prayers, looking into the heaven.  And realized as I did so that dignity required me to check my work yet one more time.
